Our flagship product, the PopSocket™ grip, was invented by philosophy professor David Barnett, with the first PopSocket sold on in 2014. The PopSocket is a collapsable grip and stand that provides secure one-handed holding for any mobile device. Customizable, re-positionable, and fun to pop, PopSockets embody the company's mission to create empowering, personal, and magical products. This position is based out of our headquarters in Boulder, Colorado.

The Role

As the Licensed Product Graphic Designer, you will work closely with the Design Director to create new product graphics. This candidate must be extremely creative and solve problems with a unique point of view while maintaining design standards. This person will also take a lead role in interpreting brand ideas that capture the brand look and feel. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize and handle pressure with adherence to quality and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Work with VP, Design Director and Merchandising on product concept development through and including execution & release for production.
Create contemporary product graphics that adhere to Licensee brand style guides
Understand the implications of applying graphics to a product and how to design accordingly
Determine artwork placement and proper logo usage and branding strategies.
Prepare precise and accurate electronic files to print production specifications and ensure delivery to vendors.
Review, comment and/or approve proofs against released art from design team.
Design creative, image–enhancing artwork and layout for materials used in designing PopSockets’ products and serve as a technical graphics expert in consultation with users on assigned projects.
Plan, design, and accomplish visual concepts.
Originate design, art, and copy layouts, determine the style, size, and arrangement of type and illustrations, and provide instructions or directly assemble and prepare final layouts for the printer.
Responds to input and changes to project parameters by developing alternative designs while maintaining concept continuity
Create 3D renderings, graphic layouts, and production ready art files with a high attention to detail


Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or relevant design field
5+ years’ relevant experience
Extremely strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills
Competitive knowledge for graphic design and store experience design.
A self-starter who can troubleshoot, work independently, and be highly efficient – consistently meeting deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
